Sweetest in the Gale, directed by Maria Belva, will present a choral concert celebrating the quiet bounty found in the small circles of everyday life. Titled Simple Gifts, we sing of the loveliness of children’s faces and the scent of pine trees; we sing about the hopeful morning sky; we sing of love, and of friendship; and we give thanks for the gift of music. As we move forward from the past two years of constricted lives, we sing together as one voice, reaching out to the world to proclaim our hopes, acknowledge our blessings, and to share our joy. Composers include Christine Donkin, Elaine Hagenberg, Gwyneth Walker, Alice Parker, Sarah Quartel, Lissa Schneckenburger, Carole King, Dolly Parton, and others.
