The Oratorio Chorale offers a variety of programs throughout the year in addition to our full concert season. These include:
• Young Artists Program
Launched in 2015, this program sponsors up to six talented high school students with bi-weekly voice lessons with Mary Sullivan, our artist in residence; master classes with visiting professional soloists; and participation in the Chorale, all free of charge.
• Winter Singer Salons
Join Artistic Director Emily Isaacson and singers in the community for an afternoon of music: a sight-singing party open to all. Each Singer Salon is hosted in a private home, and refreshments are offered. Scores and accompaniment are provided. Revisit this site for more information at a later date.
• Summer Workshops
In most seasons, the Chorale offers summer workshops designed to improve and enrich singers’ choral experience. Courses, taught by Emily Isaacson, Artist in Residence Mary Sullivan, and USM Professor Scott Wheatley, include how to read music, vocal technique, and how to sing as your voice ages. Workshops are held at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Falmouth and St. Paul’s Church in Brunswick. If workshops will be offered in summer 2019, information will be available here in the spring.
