Now in its fifth decade, the Oratorio Chorale is an organization of 80–100 auditioned, professionally directed singers committed to advancing choral music through performances, educational and community outreach, and collaborations. The Chorale’s 2015–16 season, our third under the leadership of Director Emily Isaacson, included five concert programs, with thirteen performances. This year we inaugurated our new Young Artists Program and “Sweetest in the Gale” (SinG), the Oratorio Chorale’s new women’s chorus.
Our 2016–17 season will again include five concert programs plus two collaborative performances with the Portland Symphony Orchestra and the Choral Art Society. For more information on the season, see 2016-2017 Season Programs. For information on ticket prices and online ticket purchasing, please see Ticket Information and Online Tickets.
The Oratorio Chorale is an independent organization of singers, which promotes the choral arts in mid-coast Maine. Its members seek personal musical growth and the joy of making music together. Under professional direction, they are committed to presenting public performances of the highest quality through diligent preparation and the best available musical resources.
